How to build arguments

In order to carry out the trial,  it is necessary to write your arguments before the discussion, so how are you going to write your arguments?

First of all, it is necessary to have a thesis statement which will be the main point of your argument.

Example of thesis statement:
Victor Frankenstein is guilty because he was an irresponsible scientist.
Then, it is important to support your point of view with facts. Facts are statements that can be proven by direct experience or objective verification; they can be the result of research or investigation.

Supporting Points
Examples
1.Victor Frankenstein committed several illegal acts
a.VF stole corpses
b.VF made experiments that were not allowed by the scientific community

Finally, expressions to support your point of view are used to organize your ideas in a logical way.

In my opinion, …
To begin with, …
First of all, …
According to some studies, …
As far as I'm concerned, …

Use these expressions to introduce your first point.

  1. I think that Victor Frankenstein is guilty, because he committed several crimes like violate graves and desecrate the Scientifics laws. Furthermore he was dishonest with the teacher Waldman, he lied and disobeyed and he did not assumed the consequences. Victor never comprehended the consequences of his egocentric actions and, ultimately, when tragedy materialized, he did nothing to redeem himself when he had the chance. Above all else Frankenstein apart of disobey and pursue his ambition of science, at the time that his experiment came alive he escaped knowing that the experiment it was dangerous to society and he didn’t even care when his siblings paid the price for it. He only cared for his self-preservation, no matter how many people had to suffer. He had the opportunity to kill the monster and on the contrary he continued with his experiments, stealing corpses and making bad use of the science, to make a ‘’girlfriend’’ to monster, he repented when it was too late he had created hatred and resentment in the monster challenging his revenge.

  2. In my opinion Victor Frankenstein is guilty of malpractice, negligence and emotional distress. As you can see, he developed a research and he didn’t care about the results or consequences. I want you to remember he used the work that belonged to another man, who clearly didn’t want his work to be finished; so he could create the monster. Specially, he had to be responsible and to be in control of the situation; he knew that the creature he had made was dangerous, that is an improper professional conduct.
Another reason that makes him guilty is the fact he left the monster by his own. For example, if you leave you dog without a muzzle and he bites someone, according to the law it is your fault, because you are responsible of your pet. It is almost the same situation, even worse; the monster was strong and completely able to kill or hurt anyone. You can see, he didn’t want to murder William but because he didn’t know he could, he did it.
He left a creature that completely depended of him, to his fate. He exposed the monster to a world, which didn’t want him, so it was hostile and stressful for him. He caused such a pain that made the creature not only unnatural but a monster.

  3. I think that Victor Frankenstein is innocent because he had no idea of consequences of his acts. First of all, Victor was a passionate man for the science and the knowledge. He didn't want create a monster. He searched the way to create life for middle of nature power. More importantly, He thought that if He found this way to use nature power would be a revolution to medical research. For example, in fragment of chapter 2 says "This experience made me realize the incredible power of nature. I began to think that if this power could destroy life, it could also create life." referring of the nature power. Complementing with a fragment of chapter 3 when VF did say to the Professor Waldmann "But think of what this will mean to medical research. It's a revolution!" referring to create life with the same nature power. In conclusion, Victor Frankenstein had good intentions in his research but He had no idea of the future consequences. You prop if we bear in mind, the scientific advances that have developed in the world have born of the curiosity of the ingenuity of the man without measuring consequences, sometimes thankfully they turn out to be big advances in medicine, in technology etc. Though sometimes mistakes are could commit.

  4. In my opinion, Victor Frankenstein is guilty because he ignored the Profesor Waldmann's warnings and he endangered all the humanity. First of all, Victor Frankenstein did not listen the last Profesor Waldmann's admonitions and he finished the experiment because he had the idea to create "the perfect man" disregarding the rules of the scientific community. Furthermore, Victor Frankenstein did not take over the results of his experiment and he fled without a prior knowledge of the consequences that the creation of this creature could induce to the environment. And above all else Victor Frankenstein he was indirectly guilty for the death of his family and his friend because he left the creature alone in a world fill of hate and he didn't seek a solution to change the horrible life of his creation.

Also it is the first time that a scientist do this type of activities successfully, so even Victor didn’t know what kind of thing could happen after he had created this being, so he didn’t have the information or ability to manage a lot of external and unknowns aspect like, how is going to be the behavior of creature, or the things that he could need, if he is going to be interested in living in society or not, so there is a lot of doubts about this new being, that were out of control of Victor.

Victor didn’t know the damage that his creature was doing, but when he knew all damage and dangerous that the being was, he decided to be responsible for his creature and followed him every day and night, on for months, until unfortunately he died. So, Victor can’t be guilty even when he died to stop the creature and was the person most affected.

  6. According to some studies, Frankenstein is guilty. For different reasons that it is say that if he is guilty:
First of all, Frankenstein was the creator of the monster. In his research, he was the one who designed all the plans, developing the prototype of person that wanted to create.

Second, I think Frankenstein did not think of the consequences that could generate in humanity. Frankenstein wanted to satisfy their desire to excel, and never he thought about the welfare of others. The monster that Frankenstein created, this monster had killed many people and this should not go unpunished.

Third, Frankenstein is guilty for not having informed the authorities of what was happening. He could have prevented this disaster but decided to hide to justice.

  8. As far as I’m concerned, Victor Frankenstein is guilty; according to the next facts, the people realized there is enough information that probes he is responsible for the charges of negligence, malpractice, and emotional and physical distress.

First of all, Frankenstein took corpses from the hospital of Ingolstadt without the concern of doctors or the relatives of the dead persons and with these bodies, he created its a non-human being . However, not only happy with this first corruption of corpses he travelled to the north of Scotland where he committed this evil act again. Those facts broke the ethic code of a person who is study medical sciences and became him in a selfish monster. Furthermore, he couldn’t handle its own creation and left the monster disturbed the society, many people were murder by the creature: its little brother William, his friend Henry, his wife Elizabeth and indirectly his maid Justine and his father.

In summary, I want to point out that all these unfortunate events are Frankenstein’s responsible not only of the creature. Victor Frankenstein is as monster as his creation, he is the creator of all these misfortunes.

Victor Frankenstein iss guilty because he broke the established laws. a a scientist violated his professional ethics and ignore the laws in his own interest, to verify his guilt i mention some illegal acts that the defendant committed. First: he ignored his professional ethics and word of caution from other scientists. Second he stole body parts from different corpses that were not his property. As the creator of that experiment was not responsible for the consequences of their creation and didn't take drastic measures to stop.

  12. First of all I consider that Victor Frankenstein is innocent of irresponsible scientific research charges because one of the main factors that foment science is the creation. The creation of life can be useful to understand how it works and can be used for a common benefit. Furthermore the research had not a bad purpose.

The point is that he used a public laboratory to do his research and it was a public space of the university, this public space had to be offered for teachers and students.

More importantly, to make a good research is necessary to use the most useful and the best space that the institution can bring. As far as I’m concerned it was a public institution and this institution has this obligation.
I’d say that he did not know how the creation will act and Dr. Frankenstein was continuing the research of his professor. If the professor was doing this research it has to be accepted for the scientific community and this community had to find out the consequences and the impact of the research.

Another reason is that according the law, life and dignity has to be respected and during the research, life and dignity was not affected. Remember that is during the research, after the research the monster is responsible of his acts because he is consider a human.

  13. First of all i think Victor Frankenstei its innocent, because he was a scientis and researcher, and in his knowledge of taking humans lives come back from death, he created a monster, thing he didnt expected to happen, he was hoping to create a perfect human, and his research in medicine investigation could be used in the human medicine, no what really happen. The history has proved that to make a big and succesfully advance in science it has to be some peopple dead, in this case, are the bodies taken from the graveyard. the sacrifice that doctor Victor Frankestein was dispoused to pay for his research and in science is not 100% sure you are gonna be totally succesfull there are some bad or failed experiments and a prove of that was the monster, like in the cosmetic enter prices it has to be a lot of animals who test this products and finally they die, just to see is not lethal for humans, and just when they sacrifice a lot of animals and find the right product they sell it, now in this case doctor Victor Frankestein has a falied experiment which leave him in shock to continue searching for a medicine to help worlds medicine to go forward into the future, so it’s because of that doctor Victor Frankestein it’s inocent, because he fell regret about that and that’s my argument why doctor Victor Frankestein it’s innocent.

  14. In my opinion Victor Frankenstein is innocent, because he is a exceptional doctor and scientific what only wanted continue with the work of your master, cause he thought that it was an unprecedented scientific advance, the undeath. He could come alive again to any person, then the Dr. Frankenstein decided taste this theory with a corpse, and this proved to be true, with this in a future the humanity could stop being afraid of death, just imagine the possibilities.
Maybe the Dr. Frankenstein has committed some errors and some the things he made are not morally correct, but for example you tell me what would be of the medicine if Leonardo Da Vinci never would have stolen corpses. Many discoveries important occurred per error, such as the penicillin or the velcro, maybe these are another type of errors, but are errors after all. For instance, scientific experience rats infecting cancer and seeking a cure for this, but this does not prevent the animal suffering, we do not know how many of these died for the wellness of others, you do not think this is animal abuse, obviously is wrong, but nobody he will stop them because it would cure cancer, and would be a big advance in medicine.
Now Dr. Franskenstein created a moster but he never wanted to created it more importantly he like scientific wanten to give the humanity the result of research of his master, somthing that changed the world, always he had good intensions. All scientists know that the first experiment can not go as they expected, but it is a risk you are willing to take for the advancement of science.
In conclusion Victor Franskenstein is like any other curious person eager for knowledge, he never wanted to hurt anyone nor was it a bad man, just get carried away by his instinct addition, he wanted to give to the world something which he thought, would help many people. If you condemn to someone with these features, everyone in this room should be in prison.

I believe that Victor is innocent because He didn't bad intentions, however He not measured the consequences but He will want to surpass only his knowledge where He not have idea of the results of his investigation. In addition He creates the monster, He is who should to assume the consequences of their actions and not Victor, meaning the monster should to be responsible of his acts. The monster has the capacity to reason and be aware of his actions, the monster was created with the ability to discern what is good and bad. for example God created us but we are responsible for our actions, because we are individuals with a conscience.

  16. In my opinion Victor Frankenstein is innocent, because his aim has always been the search of knowledge for the humanity, for the welfare of us. However, the science and experimentation have their big mistakes but these mistakes are what make you discover great advances and so things will improve.

I think it was irresponsible because he was unauthorized experiments, and though he never wanted to leave, felt fear as he had achieved his goal but he did not know whether it was good or bad.

I also think it is a very courageous person and endangered the lives of his family and those who loved him, refusing to give a wife the monster, and try at all times to alter the consequences that his research had produced.

  17. In my opinion Victor Frankenstein is innocent. He started with the idea of a new generation of science, a revolution as he said, a new step for the human being and the miracle of life, most importantly he never wanted to hurt anyone even if his experiments do. We most remember that the human is so weak when it has soo many power, I'm almost secure that Victor became crazy. He has the power of creating ife, he started to play to be god, and unfortunality the science consumed him.

He created a creature, who at first did know nothing about life, he born like a monster but he was a child, even that at the end of the story this creature already knew the meaning of kill, which means he knew how his acts would affect Victor.

In conclusion, Victor Frankenstein can't be gulty, he was mad that's why he can't be juzged.
